Casual Special Needs Teaching Assistants

To start as soon as possible
We are looking for teaching assistants who want to make a difference in the lives of children with severe and profound learning difficulties.
Beckfoot Phoenix school is a primary special school looking for special needs teaching assistants who want to be part of an aspiring outstanding team.
Previous experience in a special school is not essential but an understanding of autism, early years provision and child development would be preferable.
You will support teaching and learning within the classroom and the local community. You will also be required to assist with care needs.
As a ‘new build’ school with excellent facilities and a highly specialised and committed staff team we offer the successful applicant valuable experience in a special school setting, professional development within the area of SEN and a supportive staff team.

Casual Receptionist/ Administration Assistant

To start as soon as possible

Band 5, SCP 13 (Hourly rate- £8.55)

We are currently looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Receptionist/ Administrative Assistant to help run the School’s busy reception office and to deal with reception and administrative duties. Please note this role will be on a casual basis (this means that there is no guarantee of fixed hours).

You will need to be

  • An effective communicator with excellent interpersonal skills as you will be the first point of contact for visitors and telephone calls
  • Adept at multitasking with good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks
  • Experienced within a school office environment
  • A skilled administrator
  • Competent in ICT, including, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook & SIMS
  • A flexible member of staff with a good sense of humour
