Casual Exam Invigilators

SCP 13 £9.01 per hour

Required As Soon as Possible

Hours of work are allocated on a weekly basis depending on exam requirements.
Applicants must be available to work from November 2018 to June 2019

We are seeking to appoint casual exam invigilators who will be available during our peak exam periods . Exam Invigilators implement examination procedures and ensure the proper conduct of examination candidates. Working as part of a team and under the supervision of the Exams Officer, invigilators contribute to ensuring a calm and organised exam environment, giving student’s confidence in the exams process.

Cleaner (15 hours per week, afternoon only- Monday to Friday)

Actual Salary: £6,646 per annum

Beckfoot Thornton is looking to appoint a cleaner to work 15 hours per week all year round to undertake cleaning of the school premises. The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience of working with children.

Lunchtime Supervisors required

( 10 hours per week, 12.00pm -2pm Monday to Friday)

Level 1, Scale 2 - SCP 11-13
£17,007 to £17,391 pro rata term time only
Actual Salary: £3819 to £3906 per annum

Beckfoot Thornton is looking to appoint a number of Lunchtime Supervisors who will work together with other staff members to provide lunchtime supervision for students within the School and in outdoor areas. The successful candidates will be responsible for ensuring the safety, welfare and positive behaviour of students during change over and lunch break periods. You will ideally have previous experience of working with children.

Special Needs Teaching Assistants

Band 5 SCP 13 (32.5 hrs p/w, term time + 5 days, Pro rata £13,465)

Beckfoot Phoenix School is growing and is looking for a number of enthusiastic and motivated teaching assistants to work within our very special school from September 2018.

Beckfoot Phoenix School is a primary generic special school for pupils aged 2-11 years.  All of our pupils have a range of severe and complex needs and are working between levels P1- L2.

Our core purpose within our positive and caring community is to ensure learning is exciting and motivating so that all of our pupils are enabled and challenged to achieve beyond what could ever be imagined.

If you are someone who gets excited by seeing beyond disability, and would love to make a difference in the world of our children, we want to hear from you.

Casual Special Needs Teaching Assistants

To start as soon as possible
We are looking for teaching assistants who want to make a difference in the lives of children with severe and profound learning difficulties.
Beckfoot Phoenix school is a primary special school looking for special needs teaching assistants who want to be part of an aspiring outstanding team.
Previous experience in a special school is not essential but an understanding of autism, early years provision and child development would be preferable.
You will support teaching and learning within the classroom and the local community. You will also be required to assist with care needs.
As a ‘new build’ school with excellent facilities and a highly specialised and committed staff team we offer the successful applicant valuable experience in a special school setting, professional development within the area of SEN and a supportive staff team.
