Trust Recruitment

Welcome Message from the CEO of Beckfoot Trust: David Horn

Thank you for expressing an interest in joining the Beckfoot Trust. We are a cross phase group of Bradford schools determined to transform learning opportunities for young people in comprehensive. By collaborating across primary, secondary and special schools, the Trust is determined to ensure that we transform the lives of young people across our Trust and they leave prepared to thrive in later life.

Beckfoot Trust places great teaching at the centre of our ethos. The Trust is noted for our highly, professional, happy and valued staff who work tirelessly to create a learning environment that celebrates achievement in all its forms. We are already having significant impact. Three of our schools have outstanding Ofsted judgements (two of which came as a result of being in the Trust), and those less than good at their last inspection are improving rapidly. Most importantly we have established a genuine unity of purpose. We all absolutely believe in the power of great leadership to shape culture, to both challenge and care for all within the community and critically to liberate creativity.

We believe in systematic approaches - that ‘the best idea wins’. Let us collectively identify the best approach, all do it, measure impact and then further refine.  We only appoint optimists who believe that every young person can achieve. We seek strong determined leaders who model best practice day in day out. Who are emotionally intelligent and strategically smart.

The Beckfoot Trust has a well established Teaching School that sits at the heart of the Trust. We are committed to high quality professional development and career opportunities for all staff. These are unique roles and a real opportunity to join a dynamic team working across the group of schools. It is desirable for the successful candidates to have examiner experience, knowledge and understanding of the Ofsted inspection process, and be able to take a strategic lead on a day to-day basis to respond to the particular needs and context which may range from leading at a strategic level, running a department or teaching a class.
