Air Pollution and Climate Change
On Wednesday, pupils from Y5 were very excited and proud to talk to BBC radio Leeds about the problems of air pollution in preparation for Clean Air Day. Earlier in the year they had drawn pictures in a balloon about what air pollution is to them and how it is created. They discussed ideas around climate change and asthma. They also depicted how they can help reduce air pollution by walking to school, reducing the amount of meat they eat, shopping locally and not using air fresheners.
At the end of the interview the tables where turned and the children asked the journalist about his career, his motivations and the steps he had to take to get there.
