Beckfoot Trust is an organisation that links a group of local Bradford schools together so that they can collectively improve the life chances for young people within their schools. Our aim is to create a group of truly remarkable schools each with a genuine comprehensive intake. They will be wonderful places for young people to learn and grow up in. We want to make a difference. We want to create something special.

Goalball & Table Cricket

Goalball

This half term, students throughout the school have had an opportunity learn about the sport of Goalball, and take part in sessions to inspire them to play the sport again. Goalball is a great sport for developing confidence, teamwork, communication and social skills in children and young people of all ages and abilities and is very inclusive.
As you can see from the gallery below, students really enjoyed the sessions! To find out more about Goalball and ways to take part out of school visit www.goalballuk.com

Table Cricket

Our Sixth Form students have recently had the opportunity to learn how to play Table Cricket, (an adapted version of cricket, played on a table tennis table and specially designed to give young people with a disability the chance to play and compete). A coach has been attending each week to teach about the sport, what it is and how to play. Students have been very successful in developing their skills and knowledge of the sport over the weeks and we are looking forward to them taking part in the West Yorkshire Regional Tournament next year.
