Key Stage 5 Results 2024
Congratulations to students at Beckfoot Trust and beyond who have collected their Level 3 results today. We are enormously proud of you all and know what hard work and commitment success at this level takes.
There have been some stunning results at Beckfoot School and Beckfoot Oakbank and I am truly grateful to all the staff who have supported our students in their studies over many years. Looking at the intended destinations, it is clear that careers, information and guidance is personalised as there are such an array of different courses and universities.
We wish The Class of 2024 all the very best for a happy and purposeful future where you continue to enjoy, learn and succeed and change the world for the better.
Thank you also to the families who have worked with us over many years. Partnership between home and school has never been more important. We hope you take a moment to reflect on this joyous rite of passage before worrying about the next phase of independence!
We know that behind the results are personal stories of individual resilience and hardship. This year, we are all thinking of Christina’s (Head of Beckfoot Priestthorpe) daughter, Erin Gunning, who along with her very talented friends and peers, should have been collecting her A level results at Beckfoot School this year.
As many of you know, Erin passed away on the 20th of July after a prolonged and challenging illness. Erin, supported by Christina, remained committed to her studies and to attending school right until the end. To have secured A levels with the challenges she faced is quite simply incredible.
Erin will be remembered as a highly individual and creative student who grew as a person and as a creative talent at Beckfoot School. She cared passionately about the world around her and had a broad set of interests and an enquiring mind. Erin hoped to go on to study Art at higher education and there is no doubt she had a unique artistic flair.
Erin's is quite simply an inspiration to us all and she will always be a part of Beckfoot.
