Student Council Elections, 2022
We held our elections for Hazelbeck's Student Council last week. Everyone in school had the opportunity to vote for the students who they wanted to be on the Council. It was a very difficult decision as we had 21 students nominated and they could only vote for 2 each. As you can see from the photos the voting was taken very seriously, our sixth form helpers informed everyone when entering the polling station of what they needed to and how to vote. They even turned some staff members away for not having their polling cards (they returned later with their cards and were allowed to vote). It was amazing to see everyone get involved and to learn the skills of voting, it was a great introduction to democracy for our students.
