To complement our dynamic new Northern Lights icon, we needed a strong colour pallette and confident, contemporary font.
The contrasting yet complimentary colours in our logo symbolises our value of diversity and unity. We often talk about 'the same but different' at Beckfoot Trust to acknowledge that whilst we have a very clear One Trust identity and clarity on what remarkable means, we also know that one size does not always fit all.
Perhaps the most important part of our new Beckfoot Trust logo is the icon, shown to the right here.
We call it our Northern Lights.
In nature, the Northern Lights are seen as something unique and truly Remarkable that are associated with the North.
Our Northern Lights icon represents The Beckfoot Trust which is also on a constant journey to Remarkable and is strongly associated with the North of England.
As part of our ongoing Journey to Remarkable we felt it was important to give The Beckfoot Trust a strong, confident and contemporary logo and brand that was worthy of an organisation with such high standards and aspirations.
The new Trust logo was a departure from the previous logo style and was definitely designed with the future in mind.
This week, students from Beckfoot Oakbank have been taking part in a challenging and transformative enrichment experience in the Lake District. The residential has stretched, challenged and inspired students to build their resilience, grow their confidence, and develop their skills beyond the classroom.
From the moment they arrived, students threw themselves into the experience, beginning with a traditional ‘jog and dip’ into the lake. With plenty of encouragement and a sprint down the jetty, students bravely took the plunge, setting the tone for a week of adventure!
Tuesday saw the group prepare for a demanding six hour hike through the fells. Battling sideways rains and strong winds, students demonstrated remarkable perseverance and positivity, supporting each other through the challenge every step of the way.
On Wednesday, the group continued to push boundaries, with students summitting Sandle Seat to view the iconic peaks of Hellvellyn. The teamwork and encouragement demonstrated throughout the climb was exceptional, with staff proud to see our students lifting each other up as they navigated the challenge together.
As a Trust, we are committed to not only academic excellence, but to developing students characters and confidence. We are incredibly proud of our students for embracing this challenge with such enthusiasm, bravery and compassion. These are moments that shape our young people, and we are honoured to celebrate and support them on their journey to remarkable each step of the way.
